In targeted mass spectrometry-based protein quantification, information about the peptide or protein is already known, typical experiments include:

● Absolute quantitation e.g. biomarker measurement or dosed biological drugs
● Relative quantitation
Consideration of appropriate internal standards in needed, stable-isotope labeled proteins should be added before the digestion step and stable-isotope labeled peptides can be spiked-into our iST, iST-NHS and iST-BCT workflows after the digestion step.
